Who we help

Bookkeeping that understands how your business gets paid

Appointment-based businesses have their own rhythm: deposits, payouts, tips, and processor fees. That’s exactly what we work with every day.

Counsellors, therapists, and clinics

Psychologists, counsellors, massage therapists, and acupuncturists, solo or with a room full of practitioners. Payouts, insurance, and everyone’s split, kept straight.

Memberships, drop-ins, mat and towel rentals, and refunds, tracked so you see what you’ve actually earned, not just what you’ve sold.

What clients say

“Detailed organization is not my strength. It felt hard to afford [a bookkeeper] when you’re really small, but I’m so glad I did it. Hiring CV Bookkeeping five years ago was one of the best decisions I made in my business. Thank you, Corrie, for always helping me along the way.”

Michelle, counselling clinic owner

“The reassuring nature of Corrie and willing to help me to understand and be patient with me.”

Sharry, Montessori school owner

“Starting out at zero, Corrie has been a tremendous help in getting me set up and organized and answering any questions I have along the way. Her warmth and friendliness also shines through making her a joy to do business with.”

Questions

Before you book

Still wondering? Ask us on your free consult.

How much does a bookkeeper cost?

Every quote is tailored to your business. Full-service bookkeeping starts at $350 a month, and our DIY Assisted option for small, new businesses starts at $180, plus applicable taxes. Your fee depends on your transactions, accounts, payroll and complexity, and you get a fixed quote in writing before any work starts. See sample pricing.

I’m just starting out. Can I afford a bookkeeper?

Start with DIY Assisted Bookkeeping. You’ll learn how your books work with us reviewing and coaching, then move to full service when you’re ready. Knowing the basics helps you get the most from your bookkeeper later.

Do you do income tax returns?

No. We handle bookkeeping, sales tax and payroll, and we work closely with your accountant. If you need one, we can refer you to a CPA we trust.

What if my books are a mess or behind?

You’re in good company. There’s no need to tidy up first. We look at your books as they are, quote any catch-up work in writing before we start, and payment plans are available. Then we keep you current every month.

Do I have to switch software?

We work in QuickBooks Online or Xero. Keep your practice software; we connect the two. If you’re not on either yet, we’ll help you plan the move.

How do I send you receipts and documents?

It’s all paperless. Snap a photo or upload files to your secure client portal, where you’ll also find your monthly reports and any questions we have for you.

My business isn’t in Alberta. Can you still help?

Yes. Everything is online, and we work with businesses across Canada, whether you charge GST, HST, PST, or RST.

The one exception is Quebec. We don’t take on clients there, because Quebec has its own sales tax, payroll and reporting rules. We recommend finding a bookkeeper who is fluent in French and knows Quebec’s regulations.

What happens on the free consult?

A relaxed 30-minute video meeting about your business, your software and what’s taking up your time. There’s nothing to sign and no pressure. Afterwards, we take a look under the hood at your books and software, then send your custom proposal.

Is my financial information safe with you?

Yes, and here is exactly how. Your documents go through your secure client portal, not email. We use two-factor sign-in on every accounting app that offers it, and on our email, website, and domain accounts, and our passwords live in a password manager. New client portals are set up with two-factor authentication (2FA) during onboarding. We never ask for your online banking password, and we don’t need it. We carry errors and omissions insurance and cyber insurance. Our privacy policy lists the tools that hold your information and which country each one is in.
