Who we are

CV Bookkeeping is a bookkeeping firm based in Edmonton, Alberta, run by Corrie Verheijen, CPB. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean CV Bookkeeping, and “you” means anyone who visits cvbookkeeping.ca or downloads something from it. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

General information, not advice

Everything on this site, including the free guides, checklists, templates, and blog posts, is general information for Canadian small businesses. It is not tax, legal, or financial advice for your business, and reading it does not make you our client. Tax and payroll rules change, and your situation may be different from the examples. Before you act on something, check with CRA, your accountant, or us.

Becoming a client

We only start work for you once we have both signed an engagement agreement. Booking a free consult, sending us an email, or downloading a guide does not create a client relationship, and we are not responsible for decisions made from website content alone.

Prices on this site

The prices and examples on this site are samples to help you estimate. Your actual fee is the written quote we give you before any work starts. We may update the prices shown here at any time.

Free guides and templates

You are welcome to download, print, and use our free guides and templates for your own business, and to share them with others as long as they stay free and keep our name on them. Please don’t sell them, repost them as your own, or remove our branding. They are provided as they are, so check any template (like a chart of accounts) against your own books before you rely on it.

Our content

The words, illustrations, logo, and design on this site belong to CV Bookkeeping or are used with permission. Please don’t copy them for your own website or marketing without asking. Client quotes are shared with the permission of the people who gave them.

Links to other websites

We link to other sites, like CRA and community organisations, because we think they are useful. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

Booking and third-party tools

Booking a meeting takes you to our client management system, Moxie, and some links open other services we use. Those services have their own terms. How we handle the information you give us is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Limits on our responsibility

We work hard to keep this site accurate and up to date, but we can’t promise it is always complete, current, or free of errors, or that it will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss that comes from using this site or relying on its general information. Nothing in these terms limits what we owe our clients under a signed engagement agreement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
